My ShortBed is home finally! - 11/13/14 10:14 PM

After not seeing it in person for 10 years & owning it for 4-5 years my white 85 ShortBed finally came home

I offered to buy this truck when it's original owner bought a new Dodge 10 years ago with a reply of "I'm gonna use it for my fishing truck"
Fast forward 5 years to the devastating tornadoes in northern AL & you will see why my brother called me one day & said "You owe me $600"

These first pics are fresh out of the chicken house where it was parked after a tree came through the garage it had sat in since new

Wow, that's nice. It's in good enough shape that it would be worth it to put a bedside on it if you felt like drilling that many spotwelds.

Mike, I've got a bed up at 76Dodgeboy's that I'll drill the inner & outer loose on & put on it
When I do that I'll put tubs in along with 15 X 12 Cragar SuperTricks

Before all that it gets lowered & lug pattern change

When you say "right side" are you talking about the passenger side? Its hard to tell in the picture above but this box looks to have been hit just above the wheel. The filler is deep and starting to break out. where its come off its also rusted. The drivers side looks pretty good but has a small rust spot at the front edge of the box about a half inch wide and three long. The floor has been cut out in the center for a fifth wheel hitch. I'm going to replace the box so if this would work as parts for you let me know.

I got it washed & had it running then opened the gated to make a block & it died at the gate

Now it's starting to get some of my plans for it set in motion
Lowered a little in the rear for now & getting a RamCharger tank along with a smoothie rear bumper

If you dont want to buy a complete box, I have the brown one above and if any one wants a side or a section off it just PM me. Think "CHEAP" The Passenger side and floor are damaged.... Take some or all of it.

Jim, I would but I have to move 6 more cars 1000 miles & need to focus the $$$$ on that & an actual semi trailer full of NOS Mopar parts that I inherited with my 59 Imperial
