2008 Hemi Ram whining noise! - 10/07/14 06:48 AM
Hey guys, I been chasing this whining noise in my 2008 hemi ram. I have isolated the noise to the right side of the truck and is the loudest at the exhaust area by the back of the trans. I have done research and found a You-tube video of the exact same noise! Any ideas? I have removed the serpentine belt, still there. Thanks Matt

Does it whine only when in gear/driving or does it only have to be running.
The rear ends on these trucks are good at whining especially if you don't keep up with fluid changes or jiffy lube accidentally puts in 90 weight.

Only at idle, hot and in park or gear does not matter! Truck is not moving.

Don't really hear it on the youtube piece. Any recent trans work?

I couldn't hear it either. Is it maybe the in-tank fuel pump?

Could be a fuel pump whine, good idea. If you can find the fp relay remove it and see if noise go away, it will run for awhile with out it
