4wd front driveshaft question

4wd front driveshaft question - 08/23/14 09:21 PM

Hello,
What do you call the type of drive shaft that has a fixed yoke on each end? I'm referring to the types on the front of 4wds where there is a splined sliding section. Traditional 2wd rear driveshafts have a splined yoke that slides into the trans tail shaft but I'm having a hard time recalling the terminology regarding the front type.
Thanks, Greg
