Just Home 80 Ramcharger 4x4 - 04/07/14 05:38 AM

My Young Gun son just found this rusty non running 80 Ramcharger Craigslist, locally, and we had to drag it home...
One owner truck 360 4bl auto.. no a/c
After a day and a half screwing the ignition and fuel.. it is now a nice running truck...
He is going to get a lot of practice with the Mig welder tho LOL...

That tire looks like a Kerb Kicker 12 ply tire. They are used in demolition derby use mostly.

And they are very expensive.

That's not an original spare for that Bud
That tire is what Jamie says it is A friend of mine uses them on all 4 corners of his Demo car

actually, that's not the first time i've seen that tire as a Dodge spare.

i'll have to look thru some of my stuff but if i recall it may have been a dealer or regional thing.

You don't want to bet the ranch on that statement. That is a dodge OEM tire. The snow commander and sno fiters commonly had them. I think 1980 was the last year.

Yep. Saw a lot of those on W100 snow fiters passing thru 63436 ...

IIRC, 7.00-15, noisy on a dry road but good in mud.

Re: Just Home 80 Ramcharger 4x4 - 04/08/14 06:32 AM

I had an 80 rc with similar options. 360/4, auto, 3.21 suregrip, 36 gallon tank, skid plates, trans cooler, and 100 amp alt with no a/c. It did have SE package with highback seats but the no a/c, no radio was odd.

The original owner of mine purchased it off the lot on a sale. It seemed like the 100 amp alt was optioned by mistake instead of the a/c.

Do you have a underhood shot of the motor? Does it have the idler pulley for the alt belts?

Nice truck!!

Can the ramcharger grills be made to work on the pickups or vise versa?
