Chrysler 20" factory steel Rims - 04/02/14 07:52 PM

Where can I find some 20x8" steelies, 5x5.5" bolt pattern pattern? I've only been able to find some 18" versions online that were pulled from a durango. I really want a set for my truck that I can couple with the Dodge center caps that I already have.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks but I tried them already. They are out and dont know if they are getting anymore. Same case with the other sites I found. And I called a dealer just to see...their parts department said they didn't think that Dodges came with a 20" steel wheel. I'll try LKQ tomorrow, but after that I dont know where else to look. Ebay, Craigslist, and Commercial retails have all been dead ends.

The older trucks came with a 20" spare. My new one has a 17" space saver type spare.

How wide is the spare? Maybe I can track down 4 of those? There's not a safety issue with that is it? But some of the trucks actually came with a full set of steel wheels, either 8 or 9 inches wide. Those are the ones i want. Unless 4 of those spares will work.

2002 to 2008 Ram 1500s with the factory alloy 20" wheel package came with 20" steel spares with the same 275 55 20 tire as the 4 on the truck. These wheels are plenty beefy. The OEMs are not going to make a flimsy spare for a truck.
My 2006 Ram 1500 4x4 had 20s and a 20" spare. My 2007 was originally equipped with 17s so the spare was also a 17" size.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna hit the j/y today to see what I can come up with.

There wasn't a 20" STEEL wheel option from the factory. All factory 20" wheels, besides spares, were aluminum. If you have seen trucks with 4 steel wheels someone put together a set of 20" spare wheels. FWIW a 20" steel wheel with tire weighs about 90 lbs.

Ok, maybe that's why the parts guy at the dealer couldn't find it. If I can't find four of the 20" steelies, then I'll be happy with the 18" wheels.

Something you might think about before you spend much to put taller wheels on there. Taller wheels will give the effect of dropping your gearing numerically. For example going from a 2257515 to a 2756020 would be a 85.74 percent decrease making a set of 3.23 gears feel like 2.77. I saw on your other thread that you're keeping your 318 basically stock so there isn't a lot of torque there to start with... I guess you could change your gears? Just something to think about.

Yeah, I'm going to try and minimize that issue as much a possible. Kind of like I did with my car, the rim will be bigger but I will have a tire with a shorter side wall so that the overall rim/tire height doesn't change much. I love the look of steelies on the truck, but want something bigger than the stock size rim.

Its Simple and Called Upsizing. Only need to find a tire with the same diameter as you ran with the smaller rims. Cant get any simpler.

The truck came with 225/75/15's. Fronts are new, but I have to put two on the rear. I really want some of those 20" steelies that you have. But every where I look is a dead end. None of the salvage yards have any, and the online retailers are out of stock. Ebay and craigslist are deadends too. I'd settle for some 18's but those have been just as hard to find. Where did you find yours? And did you have to use spacers?
