84 Ram Trucks & Cruise Control - 11/19/13 01:14 AM

I'm familiar with the Cruise Control on my 71-74 B-bodies with regard to the fact that it is pretty much a stand-alone bolt on unit easy to add or remove from a car.

How are they on the mid-80's Trucks? The same or are they more involved?

Thanks.

Yeah, it's pretty much stand alone stuff, plug-n-play mostly. The worst part is snaking the wires down the column. The hard part is actually finding one that works yet. Mine's got a bad control unit and I've been through 4 without getting it working.

The cruise still worked in my 77 CrewCab when I parked it

There's no rocket science to it if you have a fsm

on a side note while we're talking cruise

If you run an aftermarket carb/intake & want to use your cruise You can use these pieces from Bouchillion to do it
If you use their kickdown kit that little hole on the throttle adapter is to put your cruise cable stud/adapter from your original carb
