Wife sent me a pic earlier of a 09 newer dulley ram said it started out as a ram r/t
has dulley wheels and bed on it
i thiought the frame was differnt(besides length)?

The "dually" rear axle is wider. So you need the bed, axle and wheels/tires..

There is lil more to it then that ... leaf springs..09 up 1500 trucks use coil springs all around not sure on the 2500/3500

the front susp. is differnt 8lug/5lug
r/t will be short bed dulleys only come with 8foot beds so the rear axel would have to be in a differnt location not to mention the frame rails them self will have to grow longer
im sure there is more that im over looking right now..

Mega cab duallys are short beds. My best guess would be that they shortened a regular cab dually, threw a mega cab bed on it, and slapped some R/T emblems on it. Looks kind of cool, but not really practical.

All you would need to make it "look like a dually" are some wheel adapter/spacers, dually wheels and a dually box along with some fabrication skills.

According to the story she read... they took a reg. r/t truck and turned into a dulley i call be they took a hood and a badge and slaped it onto a dulley
i looked at a few other night and the dulleys do have leafsprings still while 1500 trucks have coil front and back

The frames are different between regular trucks and cab-chassis trucks, the latter has wider spaced frame members.

you don't need the stronger frame to make a truck into a dually if it is just for the look like it is in pic of the R/T. adapter kit that bolts to your 5 lug bolt pattern and some big dually wheels and you have a dually. you just won't be able to haul a john deere tractor with it. or you can go the extra mile and if you have a torch and a welding machine, anything is possible.
