Speaking of D code 440 trucks - 10/08/13 12:54 AM
So how rare are they really? I have a 1975 D code W100 Adventurer shortbox.
Sold new in Idaho. Sweptside box. 727 automatic. 3.21 gears.
Been planning to restore it.
I have seen a lot of 440 Ramchargers and a few other 440 shortboxes over the years.

I parted. 77' black/tan interior short bed SE D-code along time ago before finding out here years ago that it was worth keeping. I still have the clock & tach along with the cab light switch though
I've had a 440 Camper 9000. Dual tanks, buddy seat & bunch of other options
One guy told me once that this was a rare D code.
I guess it could have been

I've seen quite a few and owned a few as well. I remember there being more 400 trucks though and mostly they were 318 and 360's. I myself preferred the 400 trucks I owned over the 440 trucks I had. This orange 440 shorty was the coolest optioned one I've owned though.

And the flame truck was only ahead because it was wired. still needs all the body panels replaced or fixed. Glad I couldn't buy the flame truck back. Rougher than I remembered.
