Did the 94+ 2500 4wds have 44s and 60s or just 60 fronts?

Front Diff; 4WD; Dana 60 Front, Disconnect Design, '98 & older

Jamie I know diesel will be a D60.

Only the 1/2 tons have the D44.

Okay, I have have seen some sources that say '94-97 gas powered V8 2500s under 8800 Lb GVW use a D44.

I can't say I have seen any, but then, I wasn't really looking for anything but D60s when I hit the JYs.

I believe those trucks were the "light" heavy duty 2500s. They were an oddball mix of LD and HD parts. Not many were made, IIRC the front diff was an 8 lug D44.

Um Yeah a 2500 would have 8 lug hubs. Rock auto shows motors for 44 and 60 for 96. Going to look at more and see.
