Local widow asked me to exercise her '99 CTD 5-speed extended cab 4x4. Whatta nice ride! I am falling in love with this truck.
The steady push in the back on application of throttle is really easy to get used to.

how does the 5 speed shift? nice and smooth? the gas job i drove got me hooked and found a nv4500 for my 85 stepside.great fix for the turdflight blues.
Oh! does she like to hunt and have a bass boat?

Not so big on hunting. She owns three boats, all inboard engines, two antique wooden boats and one more modern.
But the truck is sweet! Just don't drive through any dips fast, feels like the truck is going to augur in! I guess that's what 1100 lb of Cummins will do for you.
Shifting is great except synchros into Third are getting a little picky.

Just don't tow anything heavy with it. The 99 3500 I drove all over the country is now on it's SEVENTH NV4500.
