I did my own. EZ Off oven cleaner will remove the finish, rinse well. Pound out the dents, file, sand progressively finer grits until it's ready to polish. Takes some practice but well worth the effort. You can always have it re-anodized too if you like.

I did the same. I started off soda blasting mine though. sand, wet sand then buffed. first go around I repainted the black. second time around I had matte decals made up. much cleaner and faster

When I did my truck I bought a NOS military surplus grill (painted green). I sent it to the chrome shop with the rest of the chrome. It's a little pricey but if I ever do another one of these trucks I will definately have the grill chromed again. Besides really popping, it virtually zero maintenance.
