Finally got an NP205 . My question is where can I get a new coupler? For a gas motor. Also a basis kit to go through it. Thanks

I get most of my drivetrain parts/kits from
www.zbag.com and sometimes ebay. Zbag would be your best bet for the coupler though.

You need the adapter? From the case to the trans? It looks like it has the slip coupler on it? There is a truck junkyard in Ohio that has all kinds of old and new stuff if you want to try for shipping?
Auto or stick?
Did it come from behind a 5 speed getrag?otherwise the automatics used the smaller gas input

You do realize the "Adapter" is also the Tailshaft when on a 4wd tranny.
Was ibm and 80s gasser with auto to my knowledge. Plan on a 4spd going in front of it
Yes, the 208-435 adaptor should work for you if you use a 1980 and up 435, 79 and older automatics have the wrong length output shaft which always made think the manuals may have been the same because they were made for the 203's

I know. I only asked about a kit and coupler source. Any adapter on a Chrysler Gas trans should work
Sure, was just trying to help. I did an auto to 4-speed with a 205(gas) in my 85 and used a 1980 435+adaptor and the coupler was ok from the auto.

Thanks. The coupler I have seems usable but not sure if it will handle a 440/4spd D60s with 4.88s and 37" tires. The spines look a little wore. Even if it goes in my wife truck with a pretty stick 400/727 it'll still have 37s with 4.10s though. I want a divorced unit. One at local jy but short on cash for it
We ran that setup behind a 440 and pulled in the bone stock classes, broke some U-joints but everything else held up.
