Yeah...I can't imagine who would want the cobbled-up thing. In fact, I don't think I'd buy anything that crew put a significant amount of work into.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/02/13 06:39 PM

I guess they made their opinion on dodge very clear I don't care though, still one of my favorite shows. If everyone loved mopars like gms/fords then I'd probably end up hating them.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/02/13 08:42 PM

I like the show, better than any of the other car shows. But I don't care for some things thwy do. That '70 2 door Lincoln was sweet when they got it, but when they scuffed up the perfect chrome I just wanted to scream.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/03/13 09:27 AM

i agree on the swap stuff but for ride comfy that ford front end is a good idea as its all in one package but for the engine why not a gen3 hemi if they got to fab stuff up. but for easy resale toss a stupid ls in it

They get paid more for the show than the cars.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/05/13 09:31 PM

I could swear in the quick shots they had of the engine bay that I saw a gm alternator hanging off the engine that was in it.

I think there is a chance it might have had a gm engine in it to begin with?

Plus, the truck was sitting there broke and it had not run for a really long time, which would be considered normal if it had a gm engine

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/05/13 11:08 PM

Hmm: I don't think anyone else has caught the grey 73 Charger Count Dingaling did with the SBC in it either. It had 383 emblems on the hood and they didn't show much of the engine but what I did see was an oil fill spout on the front of the intake that is what the older 60's SBC's had.

I saw that too Sheldon. I noticed the ring gear and saw the 383 emblems on the hood. a 383 is a 383 right?

Looked like a SB Chubby, saw the HEI dist as well

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/08/13 08:53 PM

The truck was already pretty hacked when they got their hands on it. Lowered/frame notch/engine swap/floors cut out.

Not a fan of the LS swap, but the Crown Vic IFS is a good solid setup.
Posted By: 340SHORTY

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/09/13 05:51 AM

That Crown V ic is the best part of the build.. The rest
Posted By: Silver70

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/09/13 05:26 PM

Wasn't too into the 5.3 engine being swapped in and it would have looked much better with the body done and fresh paint. I did like the wheels, just not sure on that truck.

It was pretty obvious that the truck was being built for the guy doing the office all along. But they need some added drama for the show

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/09/13 05:41 PM

I asked them on facebook why they didn't use a new hemi. they wouldn't respond to me put they respond to all the compliments. i guess its beyond their skill
Posted By: Bzzzz

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/09/13 06:23 PM

maybe we all should message them on that... not to mention they could have used a volare clip and have a better fit with the Hemi or magnum/la or anything besides the shivvy engine..
Posted By: Cooter

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/09/13 07:23 PM

Crown Vic is a far better swap than a Volare Clip.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/09/13 11:08 PM

I'd own that truck in a heartbeat...I just saw pictures, but it was killer.

Not for $40K+ though..

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/10/13 02:14 AM

Mine has a 440 and paint

I would come closer to believing that on your truck, then the $40/$50,000 they were supposed to have gotten out of that truck.

Mine can be owned for much less than what they "sold " that one for

I am not trying to run my mouth but, my truck puts that one to shame

Wow!?!?! Not here. I like the 61-71 trucks but prefer them from newest to oldest. Not sure if I'd even want to own a 61.

Aren't the 61-65 The same nose. Im the total opposite. Dislike them the newer they got.

For as many pretentious haters there are in this forum, you all sure do know a lot about the show. I think the guys on the show are laughing all the way to the bank.

It sure does. Your truck is sweet!

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/13/13 09:50 PM

Like I said earlier, obviously this truck was actual built for the guy doing the office. They may make it sound like it wasn't but that just adds to the story... The guy was into old stuff as that has to do with his business, so why would he want some shiny fresh painted truck.

Since they added those new idiots on the show, it's been going down hill. They aren't funny, they just make the shop look worse in my opinion.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/13/13 10:52 PM

All staged drama,I could live with the fraud[ford] front end but shouldve used a mopar drivetrain....they apparently dont like mopar so much as to reason their low IQ'S...funny to watch..ass monkeys u suk by asian woman...most shows are biased against mopars for some reason, maybe theyre scared of them I dont know..same with pinks u dont see much mopar even tho rich is a mopar fan....and if you believe for one moment they actually get the kind of money they claim too then u must be a re-re...come-on 50k for that botched up ugly old dodge pu...then my 71 dart 440 is worth 200k and I would paint 'ass monkey' on it for free and get a tatoo of that asian woman on my forehead....but hey its TV...not much is real anymore just our mopars in the garage for sure..

Good lord, could you imagine Moparts as a 'reality show'? Probably would make Jerry Springer seem like Mister Rodgers Neighborhood.

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/14/13 10:18 PM

I like the show. I am happy that the guy (Richard) was able to get a shop going, employ some people, have a TV show, and make some money. I think 90% of us would like to be doing the same thing instead of building someone else's empire for chicken scratch.
Posted By: Silver70

Re: Fast & Loud Dodge - 07/15/13 05:26 AM

Somewhere it was mentioned they get paid like 185k an episode. Sounds like a lot, but I guess for tv, that's probably not that much. I'd gladly do the same for half the price
