1977 interrior door pull strap

1977 interrior door pull strap - 06/07/13 12:41 AM

I am looking for the chrome end caps for the door pull straps. Anyone know where they can be found. I need at least one so I can reproduce them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a 78 SE brand new. They replaced those on warranty when it was a few months old, and they broke again pretty quick after that.

I have a fix for that...it requires that you get the pull straps from a 90's "B" van that is a LR or high end van and take the ends off of those straps. They are the same in size, and are metal. They are not 100% the same in appearance, but are probably 95%+ though.

I definitely need all four. I have access to a 3D printer and wanted to try to reproduce them on that if I can. They were also used on the Aspen and Monaco in the late 70�s.

76dodgeboy, if you find one let me know how much it is.

I will keep my eyes out for the 90�s van, that�s a great tip.

So far mine either never had them or aren't that style. You could also consider a 5th ave. They have a strap above the doors inside. I'll get pics later

I just got a 78 se parts truck and I think one of the pull straps and chrome end pieces are not broken. Will check it out tomorrow and get back to you.

Thanks to everyone for looking at their parts trucks and the suggestions. I know these parts are almost impossible to find.

My dad bought this truck new in 77 and I took it over in 83 when he passed away. He was a truck driver and wanted to put stacks on it. I would still love to do that, but unfortunately the parts are not cheap.

I checked my parts truck,one pull strap has the part you want but one is cracked. Straps are black they are yours if you want them. PM your info and I will mail you whatever you want.
