95 dakota 6 lug to 5 lug?

What do I need to do to change the bolt pattern to 5x4.5 from a earlier dakota. can I just change the rotor? the truck has a 8 1/4 rear I will change the axle.

I've not done it myself, but that sounds like a good place to start. the early dakota's came with 5 or 6 lug bolt patterns.

With that year. It is just as simple as changing the front rotors and the axles.

use the first yr dak brake rotors, they are 5 lug

87-89 or 90 is 5 lug.

90 was the last year for the 5 lug Dakotas. You can just swap the rotors up until the end of 96. The 97 & up have the new style bearings and different spindles. Gene
