Looks like all you need is the stud that bolts onto the carb linkage. I have the same setup on my truck and it runs fine.
that's what my '87 has, works fine.

Tough crowd. Good thing you're not asking about your dog...they would be telling you to take it out back and shoot it in the head.

Quote:scratch it looks like we have the same setup, it your throttle cable goig at an angle to the carb. mine might as well be in the back of the carb
here it is on a tall rpm intake. I did riase the throttle cable clamp so the cable was level with the stud since this pic.(and they said stock linkage wont work on the RPM intake...)
stock 78-440 truck 3-piece linkage
just swaped a 3-piece set up over to the 85 318/727 replacing the 1 piece set up. it is off a mid 80s SB 4-v dippy. much more adjustability with the 3 piece.
if you need the tall intake bracket for the B-engine,AREngineering has them.

I could never shoot this guy.

not to hijack this thread but....what type of replacement cable does that factory setup use? I have one for a Dodge van and the thing is about 6 feet long. I need to get this figured out so I can install my a518.

Dutch looked like a cute guy. Having a throttle bracket from a cruise control vehicle can help with the hi-rise intake.

i have another qustion. is the mancini kit the same as the bouchillion?
Quote:where did you get the longer adjustment piece?
Exactly as I am using a spacer too and it is good to go. Glad it worked out for you. I did; however install a longer linkage adjustment piece that allowed me to dial in the up and kickdown shift points.
