My windshield wiper motor "?" - 03/01/13 01:22 AM

My windshield wiper motor in my '76 Dodge D100 shuts off as soon as I turn the switch off. It should go till it gets to the end of the run after being turned off. Question: is it the motor, switch or ? ?
Thanks

try cleaning the ground wire connection off before you buy anything...
Mine was pretty bad, I think I had to cut it off, strip wire and make a connection. then it parked properly.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. The location of ground wire?

should be a ground strap off the wiper motor to 1 of the mounting studs IIRC.

If the grounding suggestions don't work, the "park" switch inside the wiper "transmission" has broken, they used to have rebuild kits for them, but you may be hard pressed to find them anymore.

Sorry,
It is a brass strap that needed to be cleaned up..

The other wire I was remembering was the fan motor ground. Both had issues...
