Mecum Kissimmee 2024 Wrap Up Video

Did a video on most of the big Mopars at the 2024 Mecum Kissimmee auction. Have some commentary on where the market is going and what went up and down. Also talked about what I think about a market with a $160k A Body. Think of it like a Sportscenter like recap but instead of covering a football game I cover the auction. Alot of mopars that sold were way..way...overpriced including this ridiculously priced duster as well as a few bbodys,chargers,roadrunnersetc...no one would get the prices if not at auction.

Nothing I like better than watching boozed up old white guys with more money than common sense buying nothing but status symbols to impress other boozed up old white guys with more money than common sense.

Whew, rant over.

...but based on truth...

don't forget the pretty young babes egging them on......................
it's always been babes, booze, money and cars, [in no particular order] at those auctions for more years than i can count, not coming anywhere close to actual values of our average toys.

Does it cover the cars for sale with fake fender tags & other fake documentation?

I would watch a video like that, but to be fair to potential buyers / victims it should air before any auction starts.

Pricing is fair when compared to the cost of a new SRT vehicle or what Broncos are bringing.

I would like to have seen over $300,000.00 for the Survivor AAR from BC. The black AAR was a fair price.

Along the same line as the 318 A-Body in your video, the price on this 318 E-Body was $68,000.00:

It's a sad day when Dusters are fetching anything over $20K restored, nevermind $159K!

Not to hijack, but related, Bring a trailer.com is also reflecting a lot of the madness, some of the (a lot of) prices on there make you scratch your head…is it just auction fever???

I've looked at alot of coronets,71 chargers and roadrunners that I though weren't badly priced..coronets..1967 ..27,000 and up..roadrunners and chargers...40,000 to 60,000 that I thought were good deals.

You really couldn't restore ANY car today for a total of $20K.
Maybe, but maybe, if you did ALL the work.

@alaskan_ta you should watch the video Barry, one of the cars in it is a perfect example of what you are talking about.

Looks like a buddy of mine in the Chicago area bought the AAR survivor. I didn't know he was at the auction, but I will corroborate that with him tomorrow...

Yes he did buy it, he is pretty happy to park it next to his other Mopars including an M-Code Dart he bought last year!

So with the restoration cost at 250k the seller took a 120k bath plus whatever he paid for the car.

Hey Tom just watched the duster video thanks for pointing the reasons for the cost of the duster.

Petty cool A12 super bee floral top car and its history I remembered seeing a A12 years ago same color of course no floral top for 80,000 at Chryslers at Carlisle i thought the guy was crazy!Of couse what did I know lol!Interesting info on the one daytona and the expensive duster so thanks again and IL keep watching you're videos!

Yes, it was TIm's car.

Agree it is the nicest, this Moulin Rouge one went last year for more money last year and it isn't a quarter the car.
