What you're favorite Christmas Movie?

It can be hard to pick.Our favorite Christmas movie is Christmas Vacation. What's youres?

Die Hard.

Ever since I was a kid I've always like the Christmas Carol/Scrooge movies. Of all the many versions i think my favorite is the version with Reginald Owen. A close second is the George C. Scott version. Aside of the Scrooge movies, my favorite is Christmas Vacation.

It's a Wonderful Life. I like the Patrick Stewart version of Christmas Carol.

Tough to pick just one

The original Scrooge .
The Scrooge with George C Scott is another good one
The original Grinch is another top one for me
White Christmas is one of the best ones ever made. With an all star cast beyond compare.

I also like the original Claymation shows , such as the little drummer boy etc etc

For Modern movies.

Elf
And Christmas with the Cranks are up there.

A Christmas Story.

A Christmas Story. You will shoot your eye out kid and the leg lamp.

Do yourselves a favor and check out "We're No Angels." Peter Ustinov is brilliant in that movie.

A Christmas Story - never really get tired of it.
Plus, a racer buddy & I knew a master fabricator & crew chief who would use Scut Farkus as his name with SCCA.
Scut was apparently a Dickens character long before the movie was made, but no less a problem-child.

A Christmas Story for me also.

We like alot of these movies,Die Hard takes place during Christmas but a Christmas movie?We've discussed on the radio..we love it and it takes place during Christmas but it's more of a action hero movie... we do love original Mericle on 34th street,It's a wonderful life,and actually maybe Fred Clause and Love Actually any thoughts?

Elf was annoying and Christmas Story is boring

I always liked Miracle on 34th Street. I thought it was especially good for a movie that old.

A close second is A Christmas Story. So good but it has become a bit tiresome after seeing it SO many times!

Very close third are the Scrooge movies.

And I really like all the animated ones mentioned like Peanuts, Rudolph RNR, Frosty, etc.

The original Rudolph from the 60's. ALL my buddies from way back always talked about watching that - it wasn't Christmas without watching that.

Ever notice that at the end, there are only six reindeer plus Rudolph pulling the sleigh?

Its a Wonderful Life is tops...

For some irrational reason my wife absolutely hates that movie. She won't even tell me why.

I can't stand it either. I don't mind the story but I can't stand listening to Jimmy Stewart's voice. It's like finger nails on a chalkboard to me.

No, but we did notice how BIG the Bumble was at the beginning of the show, & how much smaller he became toward the end!

Rudolph, and Charlie Brown.

I like It's Wonderful Life, but I always thought that Henry Travers (Clarence the Angel) stole that show.

But "The Shop Around the Corner" (also with Jimmy Stewart) is a great Christmas romance movie. You know, for the 'feminine side of us!

For those of you who are Rudolph fans, you can see one of the original Rudolph and Santa puppets in Atlanta. There is a great story about how there history from the show to their exhibit. I believe it is on Youtube.

A Christmas Carol. I like the George C Scott , Patrick Stewart and the Disney(Jim Carrey) versions. A Christmas Story and Polar Express. I watch thesm every Christmas with my kids and grandkids. They are probably tired of it but they will miss it someday.

You guys covered my favorites…It’s a Wonderful Life, Christmas Story, Die Hard, Rudolph. One I didn’t see listed that I love is Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas. It’s a Jim Henson production that’s funny and touching.

A Christmas Carol 1951; Polar Express 2004(?)

Alistar Sim played Ebenezer Scrooge, in the 1951 version. It's very well done IMO.
