electric power washer-recomendations please ?

i need a power washer, but it has to be an electric one.
i know gas powered ones are better, but i have to store this in the heated room between the garage and the house, therefore, it can't obviously have gas in it or the fumes and oder associated with one that runs on fuel.
with that said, any recommended brands ? what pressure and gallons per minute ?
thanks in advance to those that are smarter than me on this subject.

I recently purchased a Husqvarna pw2000, so far it has been great for medium to light use.

What price range are you looking for. Some of the good or better 2500 PSI plus electric or even battery pressure washers are priced equal or more than a comparable gasoline pressure washer. I have a Greenworks and it's worked very well. My friend has a Sun Joe and he swears by in a touts it every time he uses it in front of me. I put off buying a $850 3700 PSI Simpson with a Honda GX200 engine after using the Greenworks for a job I thought I need something more than it. Lowe's has both the Greenworks and the Sun Joe and a few others to see some specs.

I don't like being tied to batteries so I am a gas guy. Put a drain valve on the tank and empty it. I just sold a 3500PSI diesel fueled 220V Hotsy as it was TOO much for what I now need.
Bought a 3100 PSI GAS powered Simpson at tractor supply for 299.99. Couldn't be happier with it so far. l have about 10+ hours of run time and works awesome

You'll never be happy with an electric model. Been there, regretted that. Just not enough oom-pah-pah to do anything useful.

Agree so when the weather get's warm again I'll also get the Simpson 3,700 PSI unit. For now, the 2.000 PSI electric pressure washer does what I need for light vehicle washing, siding cleaning, driveway cleaning, gutter flushing, etc.,

It all depends on what your planned use is for it.

I mainly use my electric pressure washer to wash the cars and clean the concrete driveway.

I've got 2 of them.

The first one that I had bought is a Karcher brand and I've been happy with it. (1750 psi)
IIRC I bought it at Lowes about 10 yeaars ago.

The second one was bought out of the clearance isle at Walmart.
It's Hyper Tough brand, it was too good of a deal to pass up. (1700 psi)

Both work fine for what I use them for.

my main goal is just general use plus the occasional blast of a greasy lump after scraping the big chunks off and hosing with a foaming degreaser.
i realize an electric washer does not come remotely close to a good gas powered washer, but even if i drained all the gas out and taped up the tank, my bride can smell just the tiniest chemical smell, and would not be happy.

get her a nose plug, after smelling your butt crack I'm surprised she has any olfactory sensory neurons left 🤣🤣🍻🦨🦨

My son bought me a Sun Joe and I really like it. It cleans everything I need to do like the mildew on the north side of the house and degrease car parts.

And it makes one wonder why. Wouldn't you think that someone would make a 3 horsepower electric motor driven pump instead of those smaller and barely adequate ones?

For the same reason that if you want a strong air compressor……..it takes 220v power to make more than 2hp. 1hp is 755w. 2hp is 1500w. A standard 15amp electrical outlet is about 1800w (rough head math). You CANNOT make a true 3hp device on a standard 15 amp 120v circuit.

220v pressure washers DO exist, but they are more of an industrial ($$$) item.

I had a 5000 psi type that was great till pump went out (long story) was given an electric with bad hose that I replaced, it’s ok but after using the big one well.. it is good for the average small jobs, only down side is extension cord plus water hose. Perfect setup would be small trailer with pressurized water tank and unit in one little package. Been looking at those 30 gallon plastic tanks at Tractor Supply.

Some years ago I bought one from Harbor freight. Used it twice and a plastic manifold molded into the pump broke off. Of coarse no parts available and no warranty.
Next time I needed one I spent four times as much for a bigger nicer Karcher. I was never able to get it to pull detergent from either of the 2 detergent tanks. Karcher was not interested in fixing it. Now the water sprays out of the handle soaking the operator. Yep you guessed it another junk plastic part. I need to take it apart and see if Karcher has parts. Maybe I will just adapt a metal wand assembly for a real pressure washer.
Note: neither of these failures were from freezing. They were stored in a heated garage that never freezes. Just crap plastic parts that should have been metal.

Keep an eye out on Amazon for deals on Sun Joe. That's where I got mine a few years ago. I have also seen them on Best Buy for daily deals. Saw one the other day, but totally forgot about this post. Sorry.
