70 Charger stolen out of SE MN

Thought I would post this. Guy has owned this car since late 80’s and had it in a mini storage. It is a factory 440 with 4 speed and dana rear. Has been sitting for years and did not currently run. He last saw it near the end of the year and noticed it was gone last day of February. The pic is old but looks the same just a little run down from sitting. has rust around rear wheels.

Such a bummer. I would be sick. Why would you store something like that with such value in a mini storage lot. Those get broken into all of the time.

That really stinks. Cant fault the owner for the storage place but dang they are one of the worst places to store a nice car.

Anything short of having a 24 guard present is susceptible of being robbed: your home,garage,industrial storage,etc.

That sucks! Have them post this on the North Iowa Mopars Facebook page. That's pretty close to home. I will pin this for a while. Good luck to them getting their car back.

Been doing well considering what I have been thru. We did not go to Cedar Falls last year. It just isn't the same if you are not driving! Still at the same job?

I rent a storage place, for work stuff. It has hour surveillance and gates you have to use a unique code to get into. I have no idea how long they keep the video and it sounds like the owner had gone a long time between last seeing it and noticing it was missing so that might no have helped. I wonder if he could have stuck an apple air tag on it to help locate it. Might be an idea for us to think about

Good for you! Remember when I served papers on that guy in your jail? That was a good one! I am retired out of the business now. Too much crap going on and my insurance rates skyrocketed! I do a few yet for some older clients but it is rare and I really don't like tracking deadbeats anymore...

I do remember that, can’t make that stuff up!

And not have some kind of insurance on something that valuable.

If it was locked in a garage/storage, classic car coverage for small $'s is available.

It sounds like the owner did have some insurance, won't cover it all. I think its more the sentimental value than anything.

Good news! Heard last night the car was found in Iowa about an hour drive from where it was taken. Have not heard if it is all in one piece still or not. I’ll update when I find out. Ted, you were right on, thanks for pinning it up.

thanks for the update. It seems when they are found they are not too far away from where they were taken. A local had a cuda disappear a few years back and with some FB postings it showed up a week or so later partially dismantled but all was there

That is really good news! If anyone here would happen to hear of a stolen Mopar or any other classic please post it here! You just never know. Sometimes ya get lucky!

I've known that car and it's owner for a VERY long time. I had no idea it had been stolen. Glad to hear it has a happy ending. I would be absolutely devastated if that was my stolen/missing car.
