My wife printed out this information today and I checked the jar of peanut butter that I've been eating out for the past few weeks and sure enough, it is one on the recall letter!

Yep same here, my kid is picky so he eats Peanut Butter sandwiches all the time. Him and I just finished off a jar Saturday afternoon out of a two pack from Costco. Then about 2 hours later my wife tells us the batch we had was recalled. We had to go to Costo Sunday already and they refunded us.

Costco called and emailed my wife about the recall. Gave specific instructions to THROW IT AWAY and come get your refund from the store. We went to the store, got our refund and they had several carts full of peanut butter because people are dumb and can't read or listen.

Same here. I had an (fortunately) unopened jar in the pantry that was in the sequence too.

They do, its all tied to your membership so its no surprise. They probably could have automatically refunded it also but I am sure they save a few million by making people walk to the counter.

Same here, our son eats Jiff EVERYDAY for his lunch and yes we found two opened and two unopened jars that are headed back. So far no problems with our son's health, thank goodness, Just think over the decades when manufacture's were not so self and FDA regulated what they put out there and just hid these issues. And thank you internet and social media for quick to get the word out up up Think I'll go make a PB&J with SKIPPY laugh2

Not only Costco but even the local or regional super market chain from PA and OH alerted us..........but still they asked for a receipt.....WHY shruggy It's still a jar of JIF brand possibly tainted food?? Should be no questions asked refund? AND they alerted us so they know we purchased JIF there or it wouldn't have thrown that red flag, DUH .

My JIF label ends with #425. Jar is about half used. Maybe the bad stuff is hiding in the bottom.

Re: JIF peanut butter recall - 05/24/22 01:37 PM

We have two opened jars, one creamy and one crunchy that fall into the stated range. I eat the creamy, the wife the crunchy. Mine is a 48 ounce jar and is almost gone. My jar is also the second jar of a 2-pack. The first jar I finished weeks ago. Neither one of us have had any problems. Also have three unopened jars within the number range. We bought all of them at Sam's Club several months ago. shruggy.

I am a skippy super chunky if you can find it. I do know a mom and 2 kids that got sick with the JIF. Mom first then the next day the kids then the recall came out. Sounded like they were sick just like you would expect without going into details!

My half full jar is in the recall, think I'll finish it. I went to Kroger Friday AM and they only had 28oz jars and every one was on the recall list. When I checked out I told the cashier and he said "no, we removed all of the recalled jars". I told him he need to check.

Probably goodfor some to step away from frequent consumption of peanut butter.

Especially bad for men (where it can contribute to butt cancer), those with type 2 diabetes, and other cancer (where it can cause spread).
