It was a Desoto.
I have had both of these cartoons on my fridge for probably 15-20 years

that was a couple of days ago, on the 14th. i hope the local paper doesn't drop that strip.
those guys used that pink desoto for years, calling it out as such, then chrysler told them not to use the desoto name.
by now, though, it is well known as such.
