Time to drop a dime on that route driver or contractor and get him some talking to about customer service and his future at Fed Ex up scope Fed Ex can't fix it if they don't know about it work
File the claim for damages also on the same call

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate FedEx? In fact, that hatred recently cost me a parts purchase from a member once I told him if he shipped using FedEx and something went awry it was his problem, he had been warned.

File a formal complaint with FedEx rather than just complaining to us. You may be just pissin' in the wind, but how are they gonna know if you don't say something? When you make a call try to find a number or call during hours where you DON'T get someone in India.........

Definitely report the driver. I've been really lucky with those that deliver to me. If its raining the pkg is always bagged. My UPS driver does the same.

Re: fed ex - 07/17/21 08:17 PM

Done with FedEx also

Shipped an intake to fla from ct weighed and measured did it on line and shipping intake

Shipping was around $31 but couple weeks latter it was adjusted to $36
So they say I screwed up something and priced it wrong m

But the real problem was it was the wrong intake my fault and the guy in fla sent it back in the same box
With same package but he took it to the local FedEx counter and it cost him $26 to send it back ???

And when it got here the driver threw it onto my porch from about 10 foot away

How did you get a local facility? I had a serious issue with them last year. Could only get the offshore call center. Scream and yelled at the guy and they wouldn't budge. Even the police couldn't supply me with a local number. Ended up driving there.

Got a Supervisor of something or other on the phone from the front gate. He said, "yeah, we heard about it". Had a little talk. Ended up being put on a "do not deliver, security risk" list.

Me and FedEx don't play well.

Re: fed ex - 07/18/21 01:06 AM

I have had a lot of issues with UPS.
Several times they left expensive items by the mailbox which is secluded from view and about 1000 ft down hill. Then they started dropping them at the lower building. Then they reported attempted deliveries saying no one was here which was absolute BS and my security systems cameras proved they didn't even come p the driveway.
Somehow I eventually got lucky and received the number of a lady at the local hub. The last time she said they have really clamped down on the drivers backing up due to accidents. I said well it hasn't been an issue for 25+ years. She pulled up an aerial view of my property and siad it would be addressed wink I've had to call her a few times but the last 3 months or so have been good. Driver seemed a bit PO'd but Tough sh-t bawling biggringrin

Re: fed ex - 07/18/21 01:25 AM

Back in Feb, I shipped two boxes to a customer in Florida - in a nice neighborhood - the guy said nothing ever gets disturbed when left on someone's porch. Well, he got only one of the boxes, but FedEx showed both delivered. The guy said BS - no way two were delivered. The one that was not delivered had a value of $106.00, so I filed a claim with my rep out of PA. I've gotten nothing from FedEx to date, & spoken with my rep about 3x on this. The reps do NOTHING for you! Last time I spoke with her, I said "fine - then I'll sue FedEx - no way you are getting away with it this time!" Then she said - "as soon as you say sue, I can't talk with you anymore." So I told her OK fine - seeya!

I have since talked with my buddy & attorney, he said for $106.00 plus filing fee, I'm pi$$ing in the wind. Caused me to think about it, but I think I will file a suit this coming week - totally on principal - this is beyond the $$ now. They got me a few years ago for $250.00 - they claimed "improper packaging" - they do this to EVERYBODY on damage claims. What they need is a HUUUUGE class-action suit before they start caring about people's packages. For now, everybody can just pound sand when getting screwed by FedEx.

Re: fed ex - 07/18/21 02:30 AM

FED EX is the worst .I purchased a cymbal on EBAY and tracked it all the way until it showed it was delivered, except it wasn't delivered. I contacted FedEx and talked to a FedEx employee who sounded about twelve and could not produce a coherent sentence who told me she would open a case but that my item was not lost. It isn't lost until two days after they say they delivered it. Okay. Well it ended up they delivered it to the wrong address. Okay it happens but...
I also ordered checks from my bank online in this same time frame. They shipped them via FedEx and they never arrived. I contacted the company who produces and sent the checks and she told me to go to my bank and put holds on those check numbers. She would FedEx me another set of checks and they would be there overnight. They didn't arrive so I waited a few more days and no checks. I called the company again who produces the check who called FedEx and they said they (FedEx) returned my checks and destroyed them from the first order. Why I do not know, and I was never notified that FedEx returned them since they were never delivered.........
The second order of checks is at FedEx place three hours from my house and the tracking says there is no information on when they will ship. I mean I could drive them myself faster and why is it taking three days to go three hours and I still do not have the checks!

UPDATE! They lost the second set of checks. They told me they are having problems getting smaller packages delivered and seem to be losing them. I was told to consider them lost and to contact the people who produce the checks. I did and told them in NO WAY are they to use Fed Ex. They will be coming by USPS.

Another FedEx story; We ordered 3 identical items from Shitcago. We are in down state Illinois. One item was delivered in 2 days. When we checked the tracking details on the other 2 items, it showed that all 3 items were in transit to Ocala Florida. Eventually, 4 days later, the other 2 items were delivered.

Re: fed ex - 07/18/21 03:35 PM

Ever have FedEx ship something that wasn't even supposed to be shipped? I have.

I'm over the shipping and receiving at my job. We have two tables for packages going out. One, is real close to the door so that drivers don't have to walk too far into the building to get said packages and it's clearly marked 'OUTGOING'

Almost 30 feet away is another table marked 'HOLDING'.

I had an order (two boxes) all set up for pick up by FedEx when the customer CANCELLED the order not 20 minutes after I had put it in their system. So, I cancelled the pickup on their site, wrote CANCELLED big and BOLD across the shipping labels, and moved them to the holding table.......

Several hours later, I stepped away from my area for a moment, and when I came back, the boxes were GONE. FedEx had grabbed them. confused mad

After MANY heated phone calls to India, I got ONE of the boxes back three days later. The other one continued on to the customer. The customer was all confused because the box still clearly said CANCELLED on it. Luckily, they didn't get upset.

I ship FedEx, UPS and USPS daily. I have experienced every problem mentioned in this thread with all 3 carriers.

As a rule of thumb, USPS loses the most packages and delivers the most packages to the wrong addresses.

UPS is the hardest and slowest to resolve anything regarding a claim. UPS also makes the most billing mistakes (in their favor).
