i'm not so sure about that.
motorwheel made wheels like those pictured that had a rubbery like texture on the face. the wheel center pictured looks like it could possibly say "motorwheel" as it's logo ?
i owned a set of those wheels. i bought them new in mid to late 1970.

correct, introduced in mid-'70
- here's an ad from June '70 with a Challenger convertible shock
- - & the "wheels" in this '71 hemi'cuda convertible ad from 1972 were .......... EXITERs up

many manufacturers used "POLYCAST" polyurethane (like rubber bumper) face on a steel wheel throughout the '70s: Pontiac "honeycombs", Monte Carlos, Mirada/Cordoba, Delta 88 "Super Stock IVs", etc.

Hmmm, white hemi Cuda convertible, $2988.

I'll take two, even if they are automatics.

I guess love DIDN'T keep them together, since they divorced in 2014, after almost 40 years of marriage. catfight

Re: INDY wreck - 06/01/21 04:12 PM

Yep, in my town south of Indy, a classmate's father owned the local Dodge dealership and they had one of those. I saw then drive through my neighborhood, and she was sitting on the back seat as if in a parade.

My RT was bought there, and i have some of the dealership paperwork. I remember us kids talking about the crash of the Pace Car.
