My fedex success story

My fedex success story - 05/13/21 11:16 PM

I was expecting a part today, but it was marked on the tracker page as undeliverable.
I called the number and got through to someone that said it would be looked into. Took down my phone number and said I get contacted soon.
10 minutes later I get a call from the local hub (80 miles away) and was told some vague stuff about working on it and so forth, yadayada.
And 10 or so minutes later the hub called back to say it would be delivered soon, but methinks yariiiight.
About 45 minutes later the truck shows up with a mildly irritated kid that turns out, hiked uphill to my door but didn't see a street number and no one answered so he left with the box

My house is about ~50 yards above the street, and the street sign at the drive entrance had fell off awhile back. I never thought about it much, but it threw this driver off (I aleady have it back in place)

I've always had really good fedex delivery service here. That is all.
Whats REALLY cool this is a disco'd OEM piece that rareparts and dealers are OOS, but RockAuto had.

Well, I generally have pretty good luck with FedEx & I'm glad to hear your success story.

BUT, recently I shipped 2 boxes to a customer in Florida & he only received one of them. I filed a claim 3x about 6 weeks ago - the claim amount is $106.00. I have my rep involved, but they are always useless. I've heard nothing. FedEx claims they delivered both boxes, but I know only one arrived - they lost the other. I've decided I'm going to just file suit against FedEx in small claims & we will either sort it out in court, or I will win by default if they don't show. They screwed me over about 3 years ago on 4 mufflers I shipped to a shop, & I never took recourse on them. I've had it with their petty BS.

FedEx is horrible. Had a part scheduled for delivery today. Checked the tracking number, and it says package unavailable... every single time they deliver something to me, it gets screwed up.

UPS is worse here on the west coast. I have had such bad experiences with the, that I can canceled and refunded orders when customer demanded I use them. I said 'sorry, no amount of money is worth dealing with UPS'.

Switch to Fedex 15 years ago and have only had one mishap and that was the other locations fault.

Funny!!!!

UPS pays their drivers upto $37/hr my regular guy says. I know I saw a news story where they were gonna strike and were promised upto $45/hr over the next few years! Here in the midwest thats REAL money. So its my guess that since McDonalds and unemployment cant match that pay the drivers probably want to keep their jobs. Just a speculation. After 30,000 packages the past year I think I've only had FIVE issues! I have no reason to make those number up. I just calculated that as .017% (USPS for example was about ONE PERCENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

FedEx drivers are all contractors or subcontractors. I doubt a company that has a FedEx subcontract is gonna pay drivers THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS AN HOUR. My regular FedEx driver is nice but the FedEx system is not so great. I don't use them much and ask my vendors to ship UPS. When I have used them things get lost. Or shipments of 10 boxes from the same vendor come as 8 boxes. Then a day or two later another box. Then a month later the last box. I ordered a truck bed cover from 40 miles away. Took 2 weeks. I quit getting Hello Fresh meals because they were coming days late and the food was spoiled. My local driver laughed about them leaving those meals on their trucks for a week sometimes. Nice!

I have had a lot of problems with UPS deliveries starting right around the time the Covid thig hit. It got so bad I was given the cell # of a lady at the local hub. I've had to call her a few times and every time I do the problems stop for a while. twocents
