sorry guys, its a 72-74 not sure which year, and its easier to call the one in the movie a sadmouth than a "72 or a 73 or a 74", or the one in the movie is a "not 70 or 71"..

In the movie they call it a '72, but they also say it has a "4.9 liter engine" down Never heard of a 300ci Chrysler motor.

Also, I found this in a forum:

I bought the car . It’s a 1974 challenger with a 318 . This is the hero car . Used for glamour shots . They used a 70 sublime challenger rt for all the drifting and racing . They bought 4 challengers for the movie. The other two where 1972s and they where bondo buckets and they smashed those three cars . And this is the only one that survived . After the movie was done filming they needed one more shot so they towed the hero car by cable at 20mph head on . And ruined the front clip on the hero car . So I’m Putting it back together and probably make some videos on it soon .
