When I get stuff like that if it has a postage paid envelope I always mail it back without anything that has my name or info on it. This way it costs them a little more postage.

A guy who I used to work for did years ago when every credit card company on the face of the earth was aggressively trying to get new users. He'd just put the paperwork in the return envelope and mail it back. He'd get another solicitation in the mail. Sometimes they would call him and tell him he didn't sign the paperwork. He'd tell them to send it out again. They would and he would return it, again, unsigned. He said the record for a company was four times before they wised up.

A guy I worked with told be the backstory behind these types of cards. notice it has a700 dollar limit. These are marketed to the people who can least afford them. The idea is the interest rate is so high due to the number of people that will default vs the number that pay, so as to still make the "brand" of card profitable. I don't recall the actual numbers he gave, but basically for every 10 people that get the card and max it out, like 5 won't pay a dime. The other half will work out payments that they can never pay down the card with and the company gets guaranteed monthly income on that card.
