Latest On FCA & Stellantis Merge..... - 02/03/21 04:22 AM

Saw this over on the FBBO site and figured I'd share. I'm guessing it's final? What a damn shame, now the cars will say Made In China....

Regardless of how you feel about the merger, I have no idea how that could be the conclusion you've come to.

iagree

Don't understand that statement at all. Nowhere does it say production of everything is moving.
It says they want to improve performance in those areas.

Things just keep getting worse and worse for American manufacturing. Now that FCA is even more foreign than the 'foreign' companies, best to just buy the Hondas that at least have some American content. The Renault Challenger should be a real hit.

Must be reading into it. I don`t see anything about them being produced in China.

Might as well go ahead and accuse them of "robbing" Fiat Chryslers' bank account, gutting the company, and building "crap" vehicles while you're at it. rolleyes

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Daimler for:

1. Putting an end to JUNK transmissions and giving us the bullet-proof 545rfe and 8 speed transmissions
2. Investing and building the Pentastar/Gen 3 Hemi and putting Chrysler to the front of the line in performance and reliability
3. Producing a rear-wheel drive platform that re-invented the Three Hundred, Charger and Challenger.
4. Listening to Customers and sticking with Cummins instead of using a Mercedes engine (of which are well respected engines, are fuel efficient, and they had plenty to pick from)
5. Continuing the Viper instead of cancelling it.

I would like to highlight Cerebus, an AMERICAN company's "accomplishments"

1. Attempted to separate Jeep from Chrysler and sell the division to China (google it)
2. Cutting costs and turning the interiors into solid plastic giving a black eye to Chrysler.
3. Shopped Viper production to outside companies (much like they did to Jeep) and then finally stopped development on future Vipers
4. Basically did nothing the whole time. These Creeps from home depot ran the company into the ground
5. Tried to merge with Blunder Motors
6. Tried to sell Ram to Nissan.
7. "Get ready for the next 100 years".............and then bankrupted Chrysler

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sergio Marchionne and Fiat for:

1. Green lighting a new Viper.
2. Ralph Gilles, a real car guy.
3. Turning the interiors into World class product. At the time they surpassed anything Ford, BM or what the off-shore makers were doing. Look at a Dart or Chrysler 200.
4. The Fourth Gen Ram that stomped the competition in every category.
5. Improving the quality everywhere.
6. Huge sales gains, which only proves the product was that much better than their competitors. They beat Blunder Motors and are now second only to Ford.
7. SRT everything, performance lives.
8. Paid cerebus's debt to the Taxpayers in full and ahead of schedule.

What an absolute FAILURE cerebus was. If cerebus had gone any further Chrysler would be DONE, your wife would be driving a Chinese Jeep and you would be towing your Mopar with a Nissan.

The point I am trying to make is to give this thing a chance before you start complaining.

Not ACTUALLY made in China, I'm just saying that they're most likely not gonna be made like they used to be is all.
