Re: Mopar Super-Bowl - 01/25/21 04:01 PM

My team didnt make the playoffs ( Patriots )

But I was rooting for a Bucs and Bills Superbowl.

I did win lunch over the Tampa Bay / Green Bay game.
Buddy of mine is a longtime GB fan
And the Tampa Bay defense won that game bigtime

Bucs and Chiefs will be / should be / hope it to be a good game though

Story line will be Old man against young whipper snapper Im sure the next 2 weeks

A preemptive notice: Any political comments are going to be moved to the Current Events forum. This post is for interested parties who actually want to discuss the Super Bowl.

I can't stand Tom Brady, but he is without question the greatest QB ever. I enjoy watching greatness. TB is going to have to take advantage of KC's patchwork offensive line and find a way to disrupt Mahomes. If they don't, KC will win easily.

Been following the Chiefs since 1991. They are almost always competitive, but it always seemed like they could never quite get it done in the playoffs. Until now.

It has been fun to watch them over the last 2 years.

Re: Mopar Super-Bowl - 01/26/21 01:22 AM

conspiracy theory ..

NFL knowingly encouraged Brady to leave the Patriot's and Tampa sign him so they could have the super bowl in Tampa, rigged games to get them as home team to keep many others from outside to attend from other cities
due to covid 19 because he is the all Terrifc Tom @ 43 still winning games

Re: Mopar Super-Bowl - 01/26/21 01:54 AM

This is not the NFL's price - resale. There are few seats tho so it makes sense, 14,500 total up for sale - want to watch them play? Gotta pay!

"conspiracy theory .."

A lot of that going around today, how the Packers and Bills were told to throw the games. The idea was that the NFL, with numbers and sales in the dumper, needed a huge Super Bowl to get the viewer numbers up, and what better than a game that pits Brady and Mahomes....

Re: Mopar Super-Bowl - 01/26/21 04:17 AM

Of course! beer

No, Seattle did not make it, but their regular season was funner to watch than the Super Bowl. up

I'm going to bet on Tampa Bay, I hope they win. They've been my second choice all year. Brady is Brady, no one can fault him for that. Any of Us would probably be the same as him, at least, I know I would be a bit smug about always being right. Just look at my post history. tonguue

I'm curious if any of you caught the post-game show on Fox: the bit they did on Ethan Haley and Aaron Jones? It was an epic piece. frown

So who taught them to put their 4sses on the face of the guy they just tackled, pick fights, and deliver cheap shots when they were clearly winning the game?

Speaking as an experienced Coach, this was a pathetic performance and a sad example of sportsmanship. I hope the semi-retired Old Fart in Florida sends these Bums back to kansas where they belong. Especially their coach: that fat basterd is even fatter than he was last year.

small markets and there's a lot of Brady fatigue out there myself included. Other than people in New England and TB a lot of people are tired of the guy regardless of him being great. Rogers would have brought more eyes in my opinion.

People have seen KC too, a lot were digging the Bills too but they just obviously weren't at that level yet. They couldn't fake it that well, KC is an amazing team.

Agreed. And normally I would root for the NFC team, as I am a Hawk fan.....but no way...GO CHIEFS!

So you complain about poor sportsmanship, and then in your very next sentence you insult a (future) Hall of Fame coach for being a fat "basterd" (sic.)???

Way to set the example, there "experienced coach". You should know that stuff doesn't fly in Junior Pee Wee....

And yes, the game got chippy. But there was plenty happening on both sides. The refs let the teams play for the most part--I'd much rather that than have a flag thrown on every play.

P.S. KC is in Missouri, not Kansas. I thought this got cleared up after the Super Bowl last year...

Re: Mopar Super-Bowl - 02/08/21 02:58 PM

Chiefs fans will blame it on the refs

Bucs defense won the Super Bowl

They beat up Brees

They beat up Rodgers

They beat up Homes

Pretty damn impressive

Silly me, I thought this was about the Jeep advert in the Super Bowl. Although I'm sure plenty of conspiracy theories about it will sprout up too.

Was hoping for the Chiefs to win. Too bad Brady won another Super Bowl. Tampa`s defense was very good . Oh well.
