Any Pyrene brass fire extinguisher collectors here?

My wife and i hit some yard sales over this past weekend picked up a 1930s pyrene brass fire extinguisher.Any body collect em? It looks pretty neat.Ive seen them shined up and they look pretty neat,i believe its empty but gonna have it checked out anyway by a emergency equipment place.Any thoughts?Thanks!

I have a couple of these.This one polished up nicely.Nice conversation piece if your aloud to keep it in the house.

Very nice!My wife enjoys hitting yard sales with me,and enjoys the car stuff,hotwheels,car parts etc...Wright now its sitting on our bar in the garage.And ive got car stuff in a few rooms in our house so well see were it ends up!lol!She couldn't believe i bought it,then i explained what it was so she understands lol!

My grandfather used to turn them into lamps. About 20 years ago we threw all of them away.

I've bought a few different styles of old extinguishers over the years and every time, after about two days, I ask myself "what the hell did you buy that for?" Then I drag it to the next swapmeet and hopefully break even.

My wife wants to get another one and turn them into lamps.Ive been working on cleaning up the one we have im using brasso and white tshirt type of cloth,its starting to look good!
