It will be interesting to see how it all pans out:
There's some nice looking Mopars on their list. Looking good in photos vs in person are 2 different things. Are folks still gonna be reluctant to show up? Are folks gonna be feeling relieved & optimistic, or concerned & pessimistic? What's the investment world doing - markets or tangibles?
Kinda surprised to see the Petty '71 car already back on the market, but that could relate to the above.
I think the high dollar cars will bring the $$$. That Cobra, those two Ferrari 275s, but this will be the star if it's real. If you have the money for a 1967 L88, you have the money for a 1967 L88 ,a little downturn in the market won't make a difference.

the Tony DeLorenzo L88 was available at:
MECUM Monterey 2010 - SOLD at $1,250,000 MECUM Monterey 2019 - on display "FOR SALE" MECUM Kissimmee 2020 - reserve not met at $1.8M MECUM Glendale 2020 - on display "FOR SALE" and now coming to MECUM Indy 2020 "the bid goes on ........"
I feel like the people that can afford the high end cars will not be adversely affected by this economy. The last crash we saw collector car prices go up because the big players were buying things they could touch and look at. The big question is will they show up or hunker down.

Why?
Is there something wrong with this car? If not I wouldn't take $1,800,000 either.
When the big cars aren't hitting reserves, you have to question if those bids were real at all. They'll absolutely bid the car close to the reserve in hopes of luring a bidder in. Happens all of the time.

And it's legal in most states. It's called 'chandelier bidding'.
