THANK YOU. i will mix up a small batch today and see if i like it. maybe i might have a color variance chip and look at that.
from reading the thread it seems like the color is better over black so i will try different undercoats to see what that does to the color.

I like that color a lot more than the done-to-death black wheels...

this is why i am asking. everywhere you look their are black or some shade of gray wheels.
the wheel manufacturer that made my lightweight flow formed wheels just started selling similar colored wheels for extra $$ over the usual gray or black. i would like something a little different without breaking the bank.

i found a color variance chip of the color today. to me it seemed a little dark, maybe i will try spraying it over a white, gray, and black and see what i like best. with the PPG water based basecoat we use in our shop this makes a difference. i think it will look much better with a flattened clear over the full gloss the paint chip had..

You might also try silver or gold under-coat depending on what effect you want.
Look up Toyota code 4T3 - mostly seen on trucks - might be darker than you like.

As in "it's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey."

Brass Monkey--that funky monkey!!!

As any street-wise booze connoisseur will tell you, a true Brass Monkey consists of two simple ingredients: malt liquor (the cheaper, the better!) and orange juice. So, what'cha want is a Brass Monkey? Here's how to make one:

1. Take a forty-ounce bottle of malt liquor (Olde English seems to be the preferred brand) and remove approximately one-fourth of the contents--down to the top of the Olde English label is a good point of reference. Normally, you're supposed to drink it (this may be the hardest part, as straight-up malt liquor is pretty potent and nasty stuff), but in this case we think it's certainly acceptable to pour it out, in tribute to our fallen comrade Yauch.

2. Refill the missing malt liquor with the O.J. (Sunny Delight will work as well), screw the cap back on and then tip that sucker upside-down so the brew and juice mix up all nice and good. Do this slowly -- you don't want it to foam.

3. Drink up! And you may want to do it somewhat quickly, as forty ounces of beverage is a lot to drink and it gets warm -- and more disgusting the warmer it gets. Don't worry, though -- since you are drinking in honor of Yauch, you can always tip out the end of it in tribute.
