iagree

I'd rather be a sad sack than around a bunch of drunks. I've always been that way, regardless the event.

The few times I’ve been out on NYE ... I’ve had 3 close calls ....

Now I could STILL BE CONVINCED to go out ... if the Super Boat Guy I know said he could dig up a couple of MUD WRESTLIN’ chicks !

THAT would get my attention! up

I'm not sad... not home either wink sitting in my Airbnb 400 miles from home with Internet and cable tv.
Planning on going to bed well before midnight. There are already morons shooting off fireworks since 7 pm, too. realcrazy

Home for me. And I spent most of today fixing my snowblower and clearing snow and ice from our driveways. Some of the drifts were taller then the blower. Will spend the rest of the night getting washed up and doing laundry before getting boozed up. Happy New Year to me.

This is exactly why we stay home, it's Ametuer's Night.
There are enough idiots on the road on normal days, why be out with them on a night that they are even worse?

HaHaHa! I heard someone else refer to 12/31 as this today - I've never heard that before BUT I FULLY AGREE!

We never go out on NYE - we always stay home & play games, eat shrimp cocktail & Hickory Farms goodies. This evening, everybody was whipped so no games - we just lounged around to watch Twilight Zone episodes. I'm glad to end 2019 - a terrible year for our friends & family. This December alone, we lost both my wife's parents, my father, & my former business partner & great friend since 1984. December 2019? No thanks. I sure hope 2020 is going to be a much better year - we still have my mother left.

Spent the evening home with the Missus watching Netflix and actually stayed awake. Cracked the seal and pulled the cork on this single malt and poured a dram at midnight. First and last drink of the evening. .

Brought it back from our tour of the distillery in September and if you're into single malts it's pretty special.

Happy New Year from Sears and Roebuck Doc.

Kevin

Been snowing like a [censored] all day. I had to close the store ('cuz I'm the a-hole manager who works Christmas Eve and New Years Eve so the rest of my staff can go home early). Still, some J-turns in the empty parking lot, a bunch of handbrake turns on the way home; got the daily completely sideways coming in the driveway (yeah, a little too hot). Came home, had dinner, have kitty in my lap watching The Grand Tour.

Could be worse.

Tomorrow mother and I will fondue and watch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

And yeah, I'd rather be alone with a warm, snuggly, purring kitty than babysitting a bunch of drunks whom I barely tolerate when they're sober.

Made dinner for the GF and I, then spent the evening watchg Dr. Pol. GF fell asleep by 7. (She normally gets up at 4am) I made 8:30. Been close to 15 years since I went out on NYE. Sometimes I enjoy getting older.

The Wife and I went out to the local Moose club. This is the first time in years we went out on New Years. We had a blast. One of the best local bands was playing and We even did a little dancing. I brought my Telecaster that I built out of parts for one of the guitar players. He has been asking me to bring it along so He could try it out. We ran into some old friends and family we didn't know would be there. I must be one of the young kids on here at 52 beer

We live way out, and invite neighbors to our place to visit. They can be with other people on NYE, but don't have to travel into town. Most of the time, the house is empty by midnight. Had teenage nieces stay over for fireworks. We did indulge in a Polar Plunge on NY day.

I have spent the last several New Years in Washington DC, specifically the Round Robin Bar at the Willard - its great time there. This year it was nice and warm once the rain cleared out so it was great to walk around again. Love watching the trains around the National Christmas Tree up
