1968 Hemi block & heads for sale on Hemmings... scam - 03/08/18 11:56 AM

Hello.

A friend of mine over here in Sweden just bought a 68 Hemi block and heads from an Hemmings ad. Seller was located in York,PA and wanted 7500$ for the parts.

My friend bought the parts and now the seller dont respond anymore!

Anyone know this seller?

He paid thru paypal but may be hard to get the money back now..

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Nicklas

Yes, he should be able to provide the phone number so we can see where it is for sure. Plenty of Moparts members in the area, plus the Carlisle Mopar show is right up the road. Lots of old racers around there, in fact a couple of them just died, so hopefully this is not one of them... work

Since that said 38 in 2010... it might be the guy currently listed in York as being 45 now... Relatives list "2" Ann's. One with Ann as a 1st name, different last name, and the other has Ann as a middle name with the same last name (might explain the paypal account name)

OP can probably follow the steps in the link below to find the guys details if he is serious about finding the dude. (have to provide e-mail & create a account to see the results) not sure if they charge like other sites or not.. I did not go that far, since I have no horse in the race.

Below is another "pay" link... but it does list relatives up front.

Good luck...
Hate to see someone getting dicked over. frown

Man, that sucks big time!

There are several guys here that are close enough to York, myself included, that could've helped with verification of the parts. Con artists love overseas buyer. They know the buyers will never show up to get their money back.

In the future, I suggest you find a local Moparts member to assist with the inspection and purchase of cars/parts. Even paying a hundred bucks or so for their time can save you thousands.
