Note that Las Vegas charges a resort fee, @ the DownTown Grand its $23 a nite.

Nice thing about the DownTown Grand real EZ to roll to the track.
Take Las Vegas Blvd north to the 515/95 freeway go West and hit the 15 North, about 15 minutes to the track if traffic is rolling smooth.

But what about the concerts on Friday & Saturday nites?? Are these still being done @ the Cannery?? Who are the bands??

Just my $0.02... wink

Really? It is only 69.00 through Hotels.com for the same nights.

Maybe the $89 covers the resort fee too, only one way to find out... work

Nope resort fee is on top of both prices. Did see that the 69.00 price is not refundable, soooooo.

Las Vegas has had the resort tax for many years.. Actual amount depends upon what additional benefits provided by that respective hotel, so the fee varies from each hotel.
They will often cover features, such as wireless internet access, 800 number calls, fitness center access, newspapers, bottled water, hotel pool access, etc. The fees are charged nightly per room and are not dependent on the number of guests staying.

I don't understand these hotels and their "show" rates. There own website rate is 78.00 and as I stated I got a room for 62.00.

Don't understand why the Cannery doesn't want to book up their hotel for the weekend.

Has anyone called the Grand and asked them why it costs more to use the promo code than just booking regular? Would think a promo code would get you a better deal, not a worse deal.

Also I'm kinda waiting to see where the concerts will be before I book.

MoparMarks, can you tell me if there is an organized cruise to the MATS from Grand Junction? And do you have any details on where, when, etc.
This will be my first trip to the show where i'll actually be driving my Dart out to Vegas. Was thinking I'd drive Denver to Grand Junction on Wednesday and join the cruise to Vegas on Thursday, if there is one.

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott.
Glad to see you make it this year. Ron Kisner [spl?] usually heads the cruise. I'll check with him and see if it is going on this year.

I HAD reservations at the Cannery for 4 nights, Thursday-Sunday. The total was $800.00!!!
I cancelled them yesterday and got the same 4 nights at the Downtown Hotel...$500.00!!!!
I too, am wondering about the concert and the 1/4 mile of Muscle. In the Google Earth satellite view, I see a big parking lot across the street at a Farmers Market. I am guessing that is where the car park will be Friday and Sat night. No idea about the concert.

Don't know anything about the concerts, but I pulled this statement from the Mopars and Musclecars at the Strip Facebook page.

"Night Time Entertainment will move in 2018 To the magnificent Downtown Event Center adjacent to Fremont Street Experience".
