Legendary, at least on the covers (haven't used their headliner). They tooled their covers from the ones I sent them from my car a long time ago, so I know the Reed pattern & colors are correct.

Did you actually send your covers to them so they could match them ? thanks

There was no Reed repro material at that time. They tooled it from my covers, and confirmed colors & pattern from the covers I sent them from my car. Prior to that, no Reed grain covers were available. (Reed is the insert grain used on early '68 RR/Bel/Coronet base coupes; later cars used a different insert that's more like the VW Beetle pattern, with a pleated center area.)

rc68rr,

Sounds like your RR is like mine with the D4S interior...
This was my case and for many years I inquired with Legendary about the silver headliner for my car. They make every color under the sun except silver... Many of the 68 RRs I checked just put a black one in because it was just simpler/cheaper way to go. Finally a few years ago at a West Coast show, a Legendary guy talked about this in depth with me and he told me about a place in CA called ACME Auto Headlining Co (Owned by Wile E Coyote???). Anyway I called them and they have/had NOS silver colored material with the correct two-hole-fang pattern. I compared it to my original stuff and it was pretty darn close. Anyway, they also said that they get the request for the silver RR headliners a few times a year. They sewed up one for me and I had a local auto interior professional come out and install it. I live in Virginia and even this guy had heard of ACME. He said that he sees plenty of repro garbage out there (esp GM & Ford) but that this was a quality piece. It went in the car with no problems in about 90 minutes. I bought mine in April 08 and it ran $220 plus shipping. That's about 3 times the usual repro cost but well worth a quality product.

The flash makes it look white but it is silver. Not sure where you live in NC but I'm just over the state line near Norfolk, VA. You are more than welcome to stop by and check it out.
