1970 Six Pack Stall Speed? - 05/20/08 02:07 PM
Can anyone post the factory stall speed for a 1970 six pack torque converter please.

Was the same as any 440/4 converter..11.75 and the stall on mine is 1850-2000rpm . The HEMI cars had the higher stall converters as well as some small block and 383 cars.

Even the externally balanced converters?

I don't believe there were any in 1970.

My bad, I was thinking externally balanced 'cast' cranks.
Both 70 440 4bbl HP and 440 6PK are externally balanced.
