Was the same as any 440/4 converter..11.75 and the stall on mine is 1850-2000rpm . The HEMI cars had the higher stall converters as well as some small block and 383 cars.

Even the externally balanced converters?

I don't believe there were any in 1970.

I still have my original 71 challenger 440 sixpack converter...and yes it has the weights on it . Its a 11.75 ...I have run 12.90 in my 4000+ lb Charger R/T with that low stall converter and 355 gear. You really dont need all that much stall for a mostly street car.

Both 70 440 4bbl HP and 440 6PK are externally balanced.

My bad, I was thinking externally balanced 'cast' cranks.
