70 ebody seat belt buckle..what gloss of paint is right - 10/04/11 06:07 PM

My buckles are supposed to be black but I'm not sure if they should be glossy or semi glossy. Anyone know?

Thank you! Joe

Anyone? Looks like semi-gloss. Is that correct?

Thanks, Joe

Contact Bill Edwards a member whom restores belts for many Moparts members. I am sure he will offer you up the paint he uses. Mention Moparts in your inquiry. Bills email: (beewagon69@yahoo.com)

I actually have the paint special made to the correct hue. The nice guys at the paint store mix the color, then put it into spray cans. If you're looking for a color that's close, try SEM product Landau Black. It about the closest I've come across to the original, or you can send em to me for restoration. Thanks, Bill

Thanks Bill. Car is a clone so "Close" will work and I have some SEM Landau Black. Thanks for the tip and I'll keep you in mind if I should need something more exact when I do my Barracuda.
