AAR/TA exhaust hanger color? - 10/03/11 05:16 PM
I removed my pieces (the ones that the exhaust tips hang on)yesterday, and they appear to have no paint on them. They sure don't look plated to me - does any one know their correct finish?
also the correct finish/color for the plate that the rear shocks attach to?

Based on photos I have seen of low mileage cars, I believe the hangers for the tips were "unfinished" metal. In other words, they weren't painted.
And unless I'm mistaken, the shock mount plates were unfinished also.
Wait a few mins and let Barry W. or some of the other guys that know for sure chime in.

....here you go. These came off of my 32K mile T/A. They where natural with an orange mark on the driver side.

i noticed (what i thought was brown primer) must have been the orange daub while i was sandblasting the part........
are both the shock absorber and u-bolt plates (that sandwich the leaf springs)natural also?
that RPM stuff mentioned above sure seems interesting, looks like i'll have to get some!
