I believe unless you ordered upgraded wheels to 15" rims, the standard tires were F70-14's

Ill second that. I dont know if maybe some early ones came with F60? seems like 90% of them have G's

My GTX came equipped with G60-14's, which was optional over the F70x14s in 71. The door jamb sticker is still on it.
But for 15's, its G60-15's. Which look allot better.

the STANDARD tire on 440, 440+6 & HEMI '71 b-bodies was the Goodyear Polyglas G70-14 w/RWL.
OPTIONAL at N/C was a Goodyear Polyglas "twin white stripe" G78-14
OPTIONAL at $63.10 was the Goodyear Polyglas GT G60-15 w/RWL.

I don't know how that would look like, a G70-14 squeezed on a 5.5" rim. I think that's too wide.

That's because:
the STANDARD wheel was 14x6.0" (with "dog dish" hub caps or full wheel covers & other combos)
OPTIONAL in 14" were (new for 1971) 14x6.0" "ROAD WHEELS" w/chrome trim ring at $90.55
OPTIONAL for the G60-15s were 15x7.0" "RALLYE WHEELS" at $58.95
NO 14" "RALLYE WHEELS" on 440, 440+6 or HEMI '71 b-bodies.

Does your car still have the original tire inflation sticker in the door jamb? That will tell you original size.

No thats long gone.
I'm just trying to get the correct tire inflation door jam sticker, spare wheel and tire.
Its also nice to know how it most likely came. I'm voting for the "Road Wheels" or Magnum 500's since the version w/o the trim ring is already on the car.

I wouldn't want one with anything except G60X15's. Anything else is too small and Polyglas GT's look better than anything else on those cars as well.

It appear's to be a chromed Chevy Rally Wheel, most likey an aftermarket wheel but someone could have had an original chromed I guess.

i`d like to add my thought on tire size decals-to me it seems they had a minimum tire size decal on the cars. i heard people in the past saying that even 15 inch e bodies had 14 inch tire decals. my 69 charger is optioned with w23 15 inch recall wheels but has a 14 inch tire decal that looks never touched as the car is still in original paint. when i asked frank badalson about it he said they put a minimum size decal on cars. i also haven`t found any original 71 cuda with the tire decal for e60 15-they had f70 14 decals. what did the aar and t/a`s have? was it a unique decal?i don`t think so. anyone have more on this i`d like to hear.

There might be something to this, My 72 6 pack car has an H78-14 decal which was only available on wagons and Cars with trailer tow pack. The sticker is also put on upside down.

Maybe that explains why there are no G60 decals advertised on Jim Osborne Reproductions site, only:

I don't remember 100% , but I'm pretty sure my original 1970 A66 Challenger 340 had an E60-15 tire decal on the door jam

I have at least two original broadcast sheets on file for (71) GTXs with 440s that have 14" rallye wheels and G78x14 tires (and also a GTX with 14x5.5 stamped steel wheels and G78x14). The trend seems to be G78 tires on the 5.5" wheels and G70 tires on the 6" wheels.
The G70x14 tire was standard for 440/440+6/HEMI cars with G78x14 and G60x15 optional.
I don't see anything in the pricing/order documentation for the 71 Satellite line that differentiates between 440 and 440+6/HEMI for tires and wheels, so I'd say it's safe to assume that you could also get 14" rallyes on a 440+6 car.
