1970 Plymouth Road Runner:
- 440+6
- A33 Track Pack 3:54 Dana
- 4spd transmission
- Power Steering

Would the pump have the external cooler ?

Any gear 3.54 and up will have the cooler on a 440 for sure....Hemi's seem to be hit and miss depending on year etc.

69 Hemi's - None on a 4.10 or 3.54 car
70 Hemi - Have one on a 3.55 car

Yes, they are being reproduced. What was the last year somebody could get a ps cooler in a passenger car? 1972? 1973+?

also, could you get a performance axle package that would use the power steering cooler with a car that had a/c? car in question would still be my 71 340 roadrunner...

The only axle package compatabile with a/c in 1970 was the A36 Performance Axle Package (3.55).

I am not positive if that rule still held true for the 1971 model year.

Yes, my former survivor '71 Charger R/T was a 440 a/c car with factory 3.55's, the power steering pump cooler was there. To my recollection, in '69/'70/'71, anything with a 3.54/3.55/3.91/4.10 would have come with a cooler because of the higher operating rpms. If you look at the accessory group breakdown, none of them mention power steering pump coolers.
