3-speed wiper motor decal..

Hello!

I have seen a few e-body( maby others also) cars with a yellow small decal on the wiper motor. I have only seen it on 3 speed wiper motors and the decal looks original?

I do not have any pictures on the decal,but maby someone knows anything about this?

Should it be a decal on all the 3-speed motors from factory maby??


And if so,is it possible to get them in repro?

It only occured on a few occasions.
My belief is that at some point there was a shortage from the supplier
with the proper part number so with some easy modifications they
turned 408 motors into 116s and some 919 motors became 077s.
Other variations also occured.
Not very common. The vast majority had no decals.
I have both the 116 blue decals and the 077 decals.

It was applied by the vendors to make part number changes. I have seen (and own) cars with the labels on original wiper motors. It was in the minority......most do not have them.

sometimes 033s became 116s.

They did the same thing with radiators- and probably a whole lot of other parts I cant think of
