Depends on the build date. Early to mid year cars with the inland shifter did not, mid to late cars with the hurst shifter did.

Not saying it's not possible but all hust cars were to have the light. What plant was it built at and are you sure that's how it came?

St. Louis, build date of 3/7/68, looks to be original dash, tag calls for a tach and has the tach in it with a date on the tach of if i remember 1/68 or so. no hole in the dash/ no patch. Has the correct early temp gauge.

Goldmyn,

Just curious, were you the one at Carlisle,Pa a few years ago with the 68 Charger R/t 4 speed gold car?? I remembered the plate on that car and it matches your name.

I believe the early temp gauge mid range was shifted over to the right more than they believed it should have been. In Jan 68 and later, the temp middle range was shifted over to the left to correct the temp readings.

Correct early temp gauge? It sounds like your car got a entire earlier dash set up installed when built. The long range temp. gauge was for the most part a early thing and your car is a later production car.
What color dash do you have and what style ash tray, slider or flip out do you have? What hood do you have, early or late style?

That was just as the hurst shifter made there way in 68 and makes more sence than a March built car missing the light.
