'71 demon stripe/tail panel color

My '71 340 demon is plum crazy with the white stripe down the side. Should the tail panel treatment also be white to match the side stripe? Or would it be black?

The car originally had a white vinyl top also, if it matters.

Without the original fender tag or original broadcast sheet there is no way to be 100% certain because these are separate options that you're talking about.
I would say that you got about a 99.9% chance that the side stripes matched the back stripes, but ya never know
