Bucket seatback cushion assembly?

I got these parts from Legendary with my set of 70B body seat covers. Is the attaching screw head supposed to fit inside the hollowed out portion of the plastic cushion (it doesn't with these)?

They take a pretty hefty push, but they will go.

Usually just heat the heck out of them in some hot water to get them more pliable....they will go.
