1970 Plymouth B Body
On the lower section of the rear seat (2dr) there are plastic seat belt retainers screwed onto the bottom of the seat.
What colour should these plastic pieces be if the car has white seats?
Should they be white or the more common black?

I am "fairly certain" that these would be black the same as the belt color. Also, I think these were only used in 70 on cars equipped with the deluxe seat belt option. Do not believe they came with the standard belts.

Not too up on 70's, but 68 and 69 seem to alway's match the belt color. My 68 has white seats, red dash and belts, the clips are red.

My daughter's 70 Sport Sat is a P6XW interior - white buckets, black dash, carpet, belts, etc. The seatbelt holders are black.

I dont have those,also this weekend I was told about some clips that hold the extra overlap or extra belt together.I dont recall ever seeing them either.

My '70 Satellite, green interior, had the belt storage clips in green. My '68-'69 Decor Roadrunners (Satellite interior) had them in the same color as the seats & belts, which all matched, EXCEPT my white interior car, which had black belts, and black mounting clips.

I have or have had several 70 B bodies with original un-restored bucket seat interiors built at St Louis and Lynch Rd. Not a single one had the belt clips, all had the standard belts as well. Those clips are either part of the deluxe seat-belt package or add ons.

Alan, I have original interior in my 70 Runner and in the Superbird. Neither of my cars have those belt retainers.. But i do have them in the 69 Dart if that is any help.. They are also in a friends 68 Runner. Never seen them in a 70.

More mud. Here's a 70 RR convertible with deluxe seatbelts (C15 on the windowsticker) with no clips...but, he has 'restored' the interior, but but, don't know why he wouldn't have put them back on
My P6KW white seats did not have them (std belts)
