Factory spec: distance from dutchman to trunklid

Factory spec: distance from dutchman to trunklid - 09/04/10 06:23 PM

The recent post about dutchman to quarter seam on a challenger made me think about the gap my challenger has from the dutchman to the front edge of the trunklid. Does anyone know the factory spec? Mine seems to have more distance than I like, but the rear of the trunklid aligns with the end of the quarters.

My 71 Challenger is the same way, the trunk rear edge lines up perfectly, yet I have a 1/2" gap between the dutchman panel edge and the front of the trunk edge,....more than I would like to see also,...my car has all the original sheetmetal, never hit/damaged, I've owned it for 33 years purchased off the original owner,....it's just the way they were put together back then, probally built on a Monday when everyone was hung over
