Who do you use to strip your rusted parts?
Techno strip is far too expensive and they really don't care about that or customer service nor for that matter repeat business.

So....I would rather not use them at all.
Does anyone have another service supplier????
Feedback is welcome on your opinion of techno strip...

I think Techno Strip is only only game in town these days?

I held off using them forever until just recently.

I would have to say that the quality of the stripping was first rate.

I agree their prices are high and they seem to get higher every time.

But if you factor in the time savings and how messy a job like stripping a fender can be, then it's easy to justify their pricing.

I'm also curious to see if there's another place local to us

techno strip is a caustic chemical dipper i assume?

just media blast it, you wont have chemicals that you cant get to stuck in the seams
here is a cuda fender that was dipped then primered (redi-strip in BC did this one)

I've seen a few cars that have been dipped bleeding out like this one, although not nearly as bad... looks like that fender was never washed out properly. Some of the us dippers have an e coat dip as well as a third step after the wash that is supposed to be much better at preventing this... so I've heard???
I media blast, then hand strip the large unsupported panels

If you're set on it... I thought there was another place out towards oakville doing it as well... not sure of the name though

I have been going to Techno Strip Club for a long time.

I can show restos which are 10 years old that were stripped. No issues, just because it looks clean means noting there is a lot of additional cleaning to be done to ensure that bleeding does not happen.

Yes they are pricey.

I had my car stripped at Technostrip last April I made sure I was there when it was taken out of the tank and made sure it was rinsed extra good. I had them working on it for almost 2 hours.

Cars in primer now and no signs of bleeding acid.

I wouldn't buy an acid dipped piece (and certainly not a car) unless it was neutralized and then dipped in EDP primer.

Technostrip did destroy a glass/plastic nose once on a buddies firebird... they claimed they could strip it without damage... they were wrong...

I would look into the place in Detroit that does the alkaline stripping and E-coating afterwards.

(sorry, I don't recall the name of the place, but I should have one of their flyers around here somewhere).
