EBODY TRANS COOLER PICS NEEDED - 08/13/08 07:51 PM

hi guys.....it seems silly that i have no access to my own cars to check this so i need to reach out to some of you. does anyone have photos of the inlet and outlet tubes coming off their EBODY automatic tranny cooler? the one on my latest (never ending) project has been snipped for rubber hoses so i need to figure out exactly how to repair and bend the last few inches of both lines. much appreciated! steven

Hi Steven
While you guys are looking... I've been curious if it's possible to install the trans cooler on a car with air conditioning, or does the condenser get in the way?

Thanks

Here's one Steve, gives a bit of reference relative to the core support.
As I said in my reply to your email, I'll look through some prints later too...

Steve
Here's a crude picture of an orignal with one line tampered with a bit.
I sent you a few others via email.

Who makes the repros again? Maybe they could answer my question about condensers.

I like the idea of having a factory style trans cooler, but if I can't install it properly on my car due to having AC then I'd rather not buy one just to find out. They're expensive.

The E body trans cooler sits in front of the rad, the top two tabs being held in place by the rad resting against side rad supports.
The bottom brackets bolt to the lower rad support and the lines go through above the suport and beside the lower corner of the rad.
With an AC condensor in place, the cooler would not line up to be supported and the lines would be too short to reach the transmission lines.
You could put the cooler in the correct location and the condensor in front of it but you again run into mounting problems for the condensor.
